Our Story

The AfroFun Group was founded in 2001 by a group of passionate individuals who recognized the need for a platform that celebrates and nurtures the cultural identity of Afro-descendant and racialized youth. Our journey began with the desire to create a safe and empowering space where young people could explore their heritage, develop their talents, and connect with their community.

Malik is a community-driven individual with a strong background in community organizing and relationship building. He works closely with local organizations, community leaders, and stakeholders to develop partnerships, foster collaborations, and expand AfroFun Group’s reach in the community.
With a background in social work and a passion for empowering young people, Xavier plays a vital role in connecting with Afro-descendant youth and organizing outreach programs. He brings empathy, understanding, and a strong commitment to creating a positive impact in their lives.
